Yeshua - The Door to Life (John 10:9 ESV)
Yeshua Church exists to lift up Jesus, the Door and only way to Salvation, and to see people saved and discipled until they, in turn, make disciples. We focus on the Scripture, Worship, and Prayer. We proclaim the gospel, pray for the sick, and break oppression in Jesus’ name. We train believers to live Spirit-led lives in homes, online, on campus, and across our city, equipping them to love like Jesus, share the gospel, and serve our neighbors so that Charlotte and the nations may meet Jesus (John 10:9; Luke 4:18; Mark 16:15–18; Matt. 28:19–20; Acts 2:42–47).
How we live this:

The Name Yeshua means salvation. He is the Door to real life (John 10:9).
Yeshua is the Hebrew/Aramaic form of the name we say as Jesus. In the first century, Jesus and His disciples spoke Aramaic/Hebrew; His given name was Yeshua (a shortened form of Yehoshua, “Yahweh saves”). When the New Testament was written in Greek, the name was rendered Iēsous, later becoming Iesus in Latin and Jesus in English. Yeshua = Jesus, the same Lord, the same meaning: “God saves”(see Matt. 1:21).

Jesus is the Son of God, our Savior and High Priest, who died for our sins and rose again. Salvation is by grace through faith. Scripture is our final authority. The Holy Spirit indwells and empowers believers for holy living, prayer, and mission, including healing and freedom in Jesus’ name. We gather in koinōnia to worship, learn, serve, and make disciples.

People come to Charlotte to start things: careers, companies, degrees, families. Uptown hums with finance and fintech; University City hums with students; East Charlotte hums with the languages of the world. On any Sunday, you can meet a transplant from New York, a refugee mom from the Congo, a first-gen student from Gaston County, and a banker who just moved in from Dallas.
That is why we are here. A crossroads needs a Door. We proclaim Jesus, the Door to life, and form prayer-saturated communities in living rooms, on campuses, and across workplaces. As people enter through Him and abide in His presence, they become healed; healed people become healers; discipled people make disciples; and transformed lives transform Charlotte.
Lord Jesus, I come to You today, just as I am.
I am a sinner in need of salvation.
I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead.
I confess with my mouth that You are Lord.
I turn from my sin and enter through You—the Door.
Forgive me, make me new, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit.
I belong to You now. Amen.
If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9–10 (ESV)

On Saturday night, June 29, 2024, the Holy Spirit prompted us to open a deliverance prayer line, which would be available every night at 11:00 PM. We did not have a plan or a platform; we had a clear nudge, a phone, and faith that Jesus, the Door (John 10:9), still sets people free.
Night after night, we prayed: Scripture first, Jesus exalted, the Spirit welcomed. People called with fear, pain, and questions, and met the One who saves, heals, and delivers. As the family grew, we adjusted the rhythm to serve more people, moving to weeknights at 9:00 PM. Through it all, we learned to keep the room simple, the prayers honest, and the focus on Jesus.
From a line to a family:
After a year of these prayer gatherings, the same Holy Spirit who started the line prompted something new: Yeshua Church, a community named for Jesus (Yeshua means “salvation”) so people could enter through Him, abide in Him, and go with Him. What began as a late-night intercession evolved into a living church family characterized by prayer, Scripture, worship, and Spirit-led mission.
